Hello! My name is Matias Ramirez de Alva, I recently graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, with a Bachelors of Science in Economics, and a certificate in Applied Statistical Modeling.
Born in Mexico City, and raised in Houston, Texas, I spent I spent the last few years studying the intersection of economics, data, and startups.
I am particularly interested in using data science and machine learning to find insights and build products that solve real problems.
This past year I interned at PROXDIS INC., a startup in the medical device space, where I worked on market research, product development, and learning about the everyday operations of the company. Working alongside the incredible team, I have gained great experience in the startup environment.
I am currently looking for opportunities to continue learning, contribute, and take part in meaningful work in my fields.
